Meet the Superheroes!

About a year ago I started blogging and struggled with names for our sons.  One became Aquaman because, at the time, he was swimming like a little fishey.  The other became Spidey because, well, it just fits him.  Over the past year I realized that one of my best friends is truly a SuperFriend!  Not only is she also the mom of two amazing boys (the same age as ours, LegoMaster and Buzz), she is also a caring, giving, there in a pinch kinda girl.  My husband is more than SuperDad, he's a super husband, too.

Spidey is now 7 1/2, going into 2nd grade.  Aquaman is 6, going into first grade (yes, I'll need to update this every year, someone remind me, ok?)  SuperDad and I are blessed with these boys, they were much wanted, much waited for.  After years of "trying for our own" (oh, how I hate that term!) we finally turned to where we should be. . . fostering. . . and quickly got matched with a two year old and a three year old.  The first year or two were not fun, but these two amazing people emerged from the chaos.  Part of this blog is chronically the challenges of parenting the Superheroes, part is updating people on our journey to growing our family, and part is just plain sharing our family.

See Spidey crouching as if he's about to leap?  Yup, that's my boy.  And Aquaman is devouring a cupcake, one of his favorite sources of energy!

See, they are superheroes!  They are also pirates and knights in shining armor, dragons and monsters, cuddlers and snugglers, readers and writers, one is a fashionista, the other is a sports star.  They are, obviously, the light of my life.

Because parenting our sons has been so rewarding and amazing, we want to do two things:
1.  parent more amazing kids
2.  help others become parents and see the awesomeness of their children.

ENJOY!
